Thank you to everyone who registered for our recent event ‘How to build resilience and lead yourself through challenging times’, held in support of TEMI members doing it tough right now.
Feeling tired, frustrated, overwhelmed and empty are all very common emotions in the current environment. Guest speaker Wendy Jenkins of Ready Resilience shared neuroscience insights into why we could be feeling this way and what we can do about it. A very engaged audience also learnt the quickest hard-wired way to calm, the benefits of being realistically optimistic, how chronic stress physically changes our brain, and why a walk in nature will have us seeing it in a whole new way. Wendy also shared her own personal resilience story, which was particularly inspiring during the current pandemic.
