The Employee Mobility Institute ( TEMI ) is Australasia’s foremost community based network of Global Workforce Management professionals solely focused on supporting individuals and organisations develop, grow and strengthen their cross border talent management capabilities globally.

Originally launched in 1998 as The Relocation Network, this networking group set out to provide a forum for Global Mobility Professionals to connect with each other and explore the challenges facing talent mobility professionals and businesses working in the global marketplace.

In response to the changing business landscape, 2013 saw the Relocation Network undergo a transformation to become The Employee Mobility Institute ( TEMI ).  TEMI Founder, Deborah de Cerff explains

Deborah de Cerff“ Global Workforce Management and the way we work is in a phase of radical change, with greater reliance on technology, changing macro-economic influences and the growth in agile workplaces, we saw a need to broaden the network to include all disciplines involved in the management of a global workforce.  We imagined an organisation dedicated to a simple vision: –  to inform the business community about the challenges and opportunities of Global Workforce Management and all its area specialisations; support the growth and development of the industry and provide a comprehensive range of learning and business solutions to meet individual and organisational needs.”

  • Inform the business community about the challenges of Global Workforce Management
  • Provide a wide range of learning and business solutions to help overcome the challenges and facilitate global business expansion.
TEMI is committed to:

  • Strengthening the professionalism of the talent mobility industry sector
  • Developing professional global mobility standards of competence throughout the business community
  • Providing relevant and accessible education, professional development and networking opportunities across all Global Workforce Management disciplines
  • Providing business development opportunities and media or promotional exposure for TEMI community members

TEMI’s head quarters are based in Melbourne, Australia.

Resourced by teams of highly seasoned practitioners from the broad spectrum of Global Workforce Management disciplines, TEMI has a 25 year history of supporting Australian and New Zealand businesses and global workforce management practitioners connect with each other to tackle the issues of the day and explore the questions of tomorrow.

Our team is made up of paid staff and a group of exceptionally dedicated volunteers who are all strong advocates of peer to peer learning, personal professional development and community engagement.  This team actively support our international subscriber base, partners and friends by providing coaching, networking, literature, training and marketing support as and when required

TEMI community members work in many professions — Human Resources, Global Mobility, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Procurement, Government, Hospitality, Tourism, Travel, Financial Services, Technology, Education, Moving, Counselling, Consulting and more!

Membership is open to:

  • Individuals working in corporations or government agencies and who are actively involved in establishing, managing, or administering their organisations local or international workforce.
  • Individuals who provide for organisations that offer a suite of services that assist SME’s or MNCs administer their global workforce requirements.
